Pi Sigma Alpha
Pi Sigma Alpha is the National Honor Society for Political Science majors. To be eligible, a student must have a G.P.A. that places him/her in the top third of his/her class; have junior standing; have completed 10 credit hours in political science coursework; and have paid national and university dues. By joining, students are eligible for numerous awards, scholarships, and fellowships. Pi Sigma Alpha membership also can further enhance one’s candidacy for law school, graduate school, or jobs post-Shepherd. More information from our National Chapter is available as well.
Our organizations has been very involved on campus as we have hosted four Ambassadors to the United States (from the Republic of Georgia, Ivory Coast, Liberia, and Mali) and panel discussions–including the spring 2016 Media & Politics panel (featuring CSPAN Founder and CEO Brian Lamb).
